Marjerique is a beautiful country style house, newly renovated and decorated, situated on the edge of the Langebaan Lagoon.
It provides a beautiful view of the Lagoon with Schaapeneiland in the foreground and a view of most of the activities. As being one of the oldest buildings in Langebaan, it used to be a Police Office with Horse stables and prison cells. It also served as the Post Office.
During the late 1960’s Dr. Erik Stromsoe and his wife Marjorie, bought the house from two elderly ladies. The Stromsoe’s used it as a holiday house while living in Paarl and later in Namibia. During the eighties they made it their permanent residence.
The cells and stables were converted into a beautiful open courtyard with bedrooms and bathrooms. The Front Stoep was also extended leaving it with an excellent, South Easter free, viewing point. At present the house consists of 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom, sunroom, lounge and dining area have full view of the lagoon.
DSTV and WIFI is also provided.
